Standout Qualities: For five years, thousands have gathered to honor the legacy of young teacher Colleen Ritzer through a 5K road race to raise money for a scholarship fund in her name. The beloved teacher was killed by a student in 2013.
Insider Tip: In 2018, more than $50,000 in scholarship money was awarded to future teachers.
